This map shows how many days a typical employee may take as paid vacation (aka holiday) leave.

Many countries mandate more holidays after a certain amount of time spent working at a company. This map assumes one year of prior employment.

Data is taken from Mercer and doingbusiness.org (by IFC and the World Bank).

The United States has no mandate for vacation days. The typical practice is 10-15 days.

In Liberia, vacation is only mandated after 3 years of employment, at 24 days.
